Conduct the overall transport management of customer accounts in assigned area in order to provide transportation services to fulfill the customer’s needs, including: maintaining and enhancing business relationships with the customers.
Lead the responsible transportation management teams to ensure processes; including effective management of resources, performance, occupational health, safety, environment and quality.
Establish and implement transport business strategies and management plan with direct impact on the objectives and on business results.
Take full responsibility of budget and P&L statement in assigned area under Transportation Scope
Plan, direct, contribute, and coordinate transport operations activities within the area of responsibility.
Identify where the services to customers should be improved, then develop and implement initiatives and processes for transport management.
Identify and analyze transport problems and develop and implement solutions to enhance transport operations; with
5 years+ of transportation leadership experience required
Experience leading a team with a Transport Management System required
Good organizer with ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
Strong judgment and ability to be a problem solver and make quick decisions with a focus on the big picture/bottom line
Candidate must possess: ability to think strategically, strong communication skills, strong presentation skills, maintain strong leadership/staff management experience, and have the ability to set clear direction while navigating through a very collaborative work environment.
WMS,ERP,TMS,MS. Office and MS. Project knowledge and strong reporting skills
Leadership & coaching ability with emphasis on employee development/collaboration and ability to hold people accountable
Excellent knowledge and experience in transport management
• Experienced in managing a 3PL Managed Freight background
