Beger PU Waterproof Cool

Step 1: Surface Preparation

1. The surface must be dry, clean, and free from dust, dirt, grease, and all other contaminants.
2. Remove or grind down any raised seams, ridges, or excessively thick areas before applying the coating. The surface should be roughened to ensure proper adhesion.
3. Areas affected by mold or algae should be thoroughly cleaned and treated with Beger MoldFree M-001. Allow the surface to dry completely before applying the waterproofing coating.
4. If the surface has cracks, damaged areas, or peeling, repair them with Beger Repair Mortar and allow to dry for at least 24 hours before applying the waterproofing coating.
5. If the surface has existing paint or deteriorated waterproofing materials, completely remove them to ensure maximum adhesion of Beger PU Waterproof Cool.

Step 2: Primer Application

1. For previously painted or old surfaces, apply a suitable old masonry primer before application.
2. For new surfaces, dilute Beger PU Waterproof Cool with clean water at a ratio of 3:1 and apply one coat as a primer. Allow to dry for 2–4 hours before applying the subsequent coats. For steel or metal surfaces, apply Beger Rust Guard Anti-Rust Primer to enhance adhesion and provide corrosion protection.

Step 3 Topcoat Application

1. Apply or roll Beger PU Waterproof Cool undiluted as the first coat. Allow to dry for 2–4 hours before applying the next coat.
2. To reinforce joints and cracks, embed Beger Fiber Mesh into the coating while it is still wet. Carefully press the fiber mesh into the coating, ensuring that it is smooth and free from wrinkles or folds.
3. Apply or roll Beger PU Waterproof Cool undiluted as the second coat. Allow to dry for 2–4 hours before applying the next coat.
4. Apply or roll Beger PU Waterproof Cool undiluted as the third coat. Allow the coating to dry for 7 days.

Coverage: Approximately 2.0 kg/m² for the primer and three topcoats.
